Mid-States Industrial, Incorporated was founded in 1992 with the objective of providing quality tank repair paired with specialized in-house engineering services. For over 30 years, Mid-States has provided industrial maintenance, repair, and new construction of above ground storage tanks and related equipment. We place high emphasis on job planning and coordination in order to provide safe, efficient and timely project completion. Services include full/partial bottom replacements, shell replacements, fixed and floating roof repair, tank leveling, nozzle upgrades and new tank construction to name just a few. Applicable codes include API 650/ API 653/ API 620 and AWWA D100.

Accounting is integral to a successful project outcome. All financial management is performed by experienced and qualified personnel. Qualifications include Bachelors and Masters of Science in Accounting.

David has been associated with building and repairing tanks for over 40 years. He started his career in the steel plate industry in 1979 in the field, erecting and repairing tanks. David has substantial experience with all NDE practices including MT, PT, RT and VT. He also has a Certified Welding Inspector certificate through the American Welding Society, AWS CWI.
Todd has been working at Mid-States Industrial since 2009 in the roles of Field Foreman, Project Manager and currently Construction Manager. He has over 25 years of experience in new construction and repair of above-ground storage tanks. Todd is currently AWS CWI certified.
Chris has over 40 years of experience working in the steel plate industry. He graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Chris is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois. Additionally, he maintains an API653 Certification.
Chad has been with Mid-States since 2011 and is currently overseeing our safety program. Chad currently holds his Public Safety Sector and Health Fundamentals for Construction certification, is a certified OSHA trainer, and an NCCER Master Trainer with Crane and Rigging Certifications.
Heather has been with Mid-States since 2023, where she is the Payroll Manager & Field Reporting Coordinator, to ensure efficient daily operations. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Southern Illinois in 2012 and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Physical and Health Education.
Heather brings strong organizational and strategic skills to her role, contributing to the accuracy, efficiency, and overall success of the company.
