Our project managers have the overall charge of planning and execution of a particular project.  Responsibilities and qualifications include:

MSI incorporates engineering expertise into the storage tank repair and modification industry.

That expertise is evidenced by degreed personnel, professional engineering licensure and inspection certification per API 653. We ensure focus upon customer specifications, and compliance with API 650, API 653, API 620 Appendix R and AWWA D100 as appropriate. Subsequently, instructions, most typically detailed drawings, are developed for field execution of the repairs.  All engineering drawings are prepared utilizing ACAD software, and provided to customers in format desired.


Mid-States Industrial performs repairs & maintenance based on API 620/650/653.  Some of our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Full/partial bottom replacements
  • Shell repairs/replacements
  • Fixed and floating roof repairs/replacements
  • Tank leveling
  • Nozzle upgrades and relocations
  • Special design and engineering work
  • Construction project management


All Field Work is performed and supervised by experienced personnel.  Weld Procedure Specification (WPS) and supporting Procedure Qualification Record (PQR) are prepared per the requirements of ASME Section IX.  Additionally, all Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ) testing is performed third party.  Only Certified Welders are allowed to perform welding.
